Places worth visiting are the historic Mapetla Mohapi Memorial, the many battle sites and graves as well as the Bushmen paintings that are found throughout this district. Visit the Wittenbergen Missionary station, where Olive Schreiner spent her early years and began notes for the writing of a "Story of an African Farm ".

Explore the many villages including the breathtaking pottery at Ikaneng Pottery in Thaba-Lesoba (hole in the mountain). Enjoy fun filled cultural dances and other entertainment by prior arrangements only.
Wind your way down to Telle Bridge, to see the historic border gate to Lesotho, where Donald Wood, the then editor of the Daily Dispatch, escaped into exile disguised as a priest.
